MWDN: Rohmer, Beaudoin honored for commitment to Ashland’s safety

ASHLAND — Two local police officers have received awards from state officials, who praised their commitment to public safety and to the town of Ashland.
Police said today that Chief Scott Rohmer and Lt. David Beaudoin received an award from the state House of Representatives, recognizing their “Exemplary Commitment to Public Safety.” The award was signed by state Rep. Tom Sannicandro, D-Ashland, and Speaker of the House Robert DeLeo.
Rohmer and Beaudoin also received an official citation from the state Senate, lauding their “Courageous Dedication to Protecting and Serving the Town of Ashland.” Sen. Karen Spilka, D-Ashland, presented the award to the officers during Tuesday’s opening ceremonies of the Citizens Police Academy.
