Senator Spilka to Speak at SOAR 55 Opening in Framingham
A volunteer program for people age 55 and over is opening a satellite office at the Framingham Public Library next week.
Service Opportunities After Reaching 55, or SOAR 55, will celebrate the opening of its satellite office at the library on Wednesday, Jan. 20 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Senator Spilka will be a featured guest speaker.
Other speakers at the event include Mark Contois, library director; Jan Latorre-Stiller, senior director of SOAR 55; and a panel of SOAR 55 volunteers speaking about their volunteer experiences. Refreshments will be provided.
Framingham resident Lois Levick will be the SOAR 55 volunteer outreach coordinator at the library.
