Senator Spilka Honors MetroWest Elder Community Care Collaborative Program

February 10, 2010

On Monday, February 8, Senator Spilka presented awards to members of the Elder Community Care Collaborative Program at the Massachusetts Coalition for Suicide Prevention Event at the State House.

The Elder Community Care Collaborative Program serves and supports older adults in 14 towns in Metrowest.  Since the program began in February 2009, hundreds of elders have been screened for mental health issues, and more than 500 outbound calls have been made to the community’s most vulnerable populations.

Senator Spilka was pleased to present awards to, from left to right, Eileen Davis of Samaritans, Inc., Sarah Trongone of Advocates, Inc. and Steve Corso of Bay Path Elder Services.  Their hard work makes the Elder Community Care Collaborative Program such a success!
