Updates on Storm Clean Up and Restoration

August 30, 2011

I am still being contacted by many of my constituents about power loss in their neighborhoods. My office and I are continuing to work with NSTAR and National Grid to ensure that power is restored to homes as soon as possible.

I also wanted to provide an update to my constituents who are customers of NSTAR and National Grid about the extent of the outages and the current timeline for power restoration as anticipated by NSTAR and National Grid.

For more information, continue to follow www.karenspilka.com for updates as we receive them. Also, please check the links for NSTAR and National Grid listed above for information throughout the day.

We all hope that power can be restored as quickly as possible and should be very thankful that our families are safe. Throughout the days and possibly weeks of clean up ahead, please continue to take the necessary precautions – stay away from downed wires and trees and please stay safe. The safety of my constituents is always foremost in my mind and it is important that we also keep those who have been devastated by Hurricane Irene, throughout the country, in our thoughts.
