Latest Storm Updates

September 1, 2011

Days after Tropical Storm Irene hit, I continue to receive many calls from constituents who live in communities still without power. From the beginning, my office and I have been actively working with NSTAR and National Grid to ensure that power is restored as soon as possible to our residents and we will continue working with them until all power is restored.

I wanted to provide the most up-to-date reports from NSTAR and National Grid regarding the outages in my communities and their estimated timelines for power restoration.

For more information, continue to follow www.karenspilka.com for updates as we receive them. Also, please check the links for NSTAR and National Grid listed above for information throughout the day.

Once clean up is finished and power is restored to all residents, we plan on working with NSTAR, National Grid, and local officials to assess the storm response and discuss ways in which we can more efficiently respond to damage and power outages for the next storm that comes our way.
