Spilka Joins Open Mobile World Wide, Inc. to Celebrate National Small Business Week
Sunday, May 20th officially kicks off National Small Business Week, created in 1963 by President John F. Kennedy to recognize the important contributions of our nation’s nearly 27 million entrepreneurs and small businesses to our economy.
In celebration of the week, members of the Massachusetts State Senate and House will visit and take pictures with local small businesses in their districts. Senator Karen Spilka has chosen to visit Open Mobile World Wide, Inc. – a cutting-edge technology company that could locate anywhere in the world but chooses to be in Framingham.
April Anderson Lamoureux, the Assistant Secretary for Economic Development for the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development, will join Spilka on her visit. The two will hear from Robert Angelo, CEO of Open Mobile, on his experience of growing this successful small business in Massachusetts and will express the state’s continued commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and growing the small business community in Massachusetts.
