Framingham Delegation to Join Local Small Business at 50th Anniversary Celebration

December 18, 2012

Senator Karen Spilka (D-Ashland), Representative Tom Sannicandro (D-Ashland), Representative Chris Walsh (D-Framingham), and other members of the Framingham community will join Bonded Auto Repair, a family owned and operated small business in Framingham, at its 50th anniversary celebration this Wednesday, December 19th.

This full service auto repair facility is currently run by Michael Hines, whose father, Mel Hines, first opened the facility as Bonded Transmission in 1962. Hines opened the facility to provide the community with access to high-quality auto repairs at fair prices and chose Framingham because he saw it as a thriving town with a large and rapidly growing population.

In 1997, the company moved to its current location on Beaver Street because it needed a larger state-of-the-art facility to keep up with demand and better serve the needs of its customers. The name of the business was changed last year to reflect the full spectrum of services it offers.

Hines, additional members of his family and staff will commemorate their 50th anniversary with a celebration at the facility beginning at 10:00 a.m. Spilka, Sannicandro, Walsh, Hines and others are slated to speak.
