Statement on Antisemitic Graffiti Found Along the Cochituate Rail Trail in Natick
“Natick is a beautiful community where everyone should feel welcome to live, work and visit. The discovery of antisemitic graffiti along the Cochituate Rail Trail yesterday morning was a devastating reminder that there are those among us who wish to make some residents and visitors feel targeted and unsafe.
I applaud the Town of Natick for taking this incident seriously, removing the offensive graffiti as quickly as they were able, and condemning this hate-motivated vandalism unequivocally. At the state level, we continue to take steps to combat hate speech and antisemitism because, as this incident shows us, there is still more work to be done to ensure every resident feels safe.”
